Advanced Laser Esthetician Training

Advanced Aesthetics

IMAj Institute’s 600-hour medical aesthetics program is thoughtfully designed to guide you step-by-step through the essential knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on techniques you need to become a licensed aesthetician. With a 100% first-time pass rate on the state board exam, our comprehensive program not only prepares you to pass your exams, it empowers you to specialize in the area of esthetics that inspires you most, from treatments to product manufacturing and beyond.

  • Day Program: Mon–Thu — 8am–5pm
  • Evening Program: Tue–Wed — 5pm–9pm + clinic hours and every other Saturday 8am – 4:30pm
  • You will analyze and understand different skin types, conditions, diseases and disorders and client needs
  • You will master proper sanitation and infection control procedures by becoming Barbicide certified
  • You will perform advanced facial treatments including but not limited to LED, galvanic and dermaplaning
  • You will understand skincare chemistry and how to choose and mix the right products
  • You will get hands-on experience with chemical peels (AHA, TCA & BHA), enzyme masks, microdermabrasion, microcurrent, Image Skincare’s® Signature Facial and more
  • You will practice safe and effective hair removal techniques
  • You will explore makeup application essentials
  • You will build your resume and go through various professional development lessons
  • You must be 18 years of age or have a parent or legal guardian present to provide consent.
  • Provide identification at the time of enrollment. Types of identification accepted,
    • United States Birth Certificate 
    • Valid Drivers License (Any State) 
    • Valid State Identification Card (Any State) 
    • Valid Military Identification 
    • Valid Passport 
    • Social Security Card 
  • Must be able to provide proof of high school completion or its equivalent. This can include any of the following,
    • High School Diploma 
    • GED
    • Homeschool Diploma 
    • College Transcript 
    • Verified Foreign Equivalent 
    • Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) Test Results 
  • Must have the ability to electronically access digital learning curriculum including audio 
  • 600 clock hours
  • Classes start every 6 weeks 
  • 3 different schedules offered 
  • Tuition: $13,495
  • Accredited by the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board (AZBOC)
  • Complete with 15 certifications and 1 state license 
  • Candidate for NACCAS Accreditation

Aesthetics Instructor

Our Aesthetic Instructor training program is designed for licensed estheticians who want to become professional educators in the field. This program covers essential skills such as lesson plan development, effective teaching strategies, and hands-on clinical instruction. Upon successful completion, you’ll be prepared to take the instructor licensing exams and help mold the future of aesthetics. IMAj institute holds the highest pass rate for the instructor’s licensing exam in the state of Arizona.

  • Day Program: Mon–Thu — 8am–5pm
  • Evening Program: Tue–Wed — 5pm–9pm + clinic hours and every other Saturday 8am – 4:30pm
  • You will master the foundational qualities of professional instructor
  • You will understand the benefits of teacher preparation
  • You will identify adult learner traits and learning styles 
  • You will teach effective study, testing and communication skills 
  • You will create engaging presentations and manage classrooms
  • You will develop lesson plans with clear learning objectives 
  • You will utilize educational aids and assess student progress 
  • You will apply effective teaching methods in clinical/lab settings 
  • You will demonstrate the knowledge, skill and confidence required to successfully pass the Arizona Esthetics Instructor licensing exams. 
  • You must have an active aesthetician or cosmetology license
  • Have one year of field experience
  • Provide a copy of your professional license at the time of enrollment
  • 350 clock hours 
  • Training conducted on campus, Monday – Thursday. If you choose the hybrid/night program, the hours are the same as the hybrid program.
  • Training presented in lectures and Interactive Participation Activities.
  •  Student Instructors Observe and Assist Licensed Instructors in The Classroom and Clinic
  • Meets Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board Training Requirements for Aesthetic Instructor License 
  • Tuition: $5,000.00

Additional Fees & Costs

For all programs, there is an additional $200 for uniforms, $100 per Application and $200 for Enrollment.
